ArtWindow works on your iPhone. Your selected images, camera frames, and optional audio are used to make the composition you request.

ArtWindow is an app by Alex Whedbee, with support operated by AW Ventures, LLC. This policy covers ArtWindow 1.0 and this ArtWindow website. The App Store release is pending.

The iPhone app

ArtWindow does not require an account. It has no advertising, analytics service, or tracking SDK. The app does not send your images, recordings, or usage activity to the developer, and it does not upload your creations to an ArtWindow server.

Images, camera, and sound

Images you choose and camera frames are processed on your device. Microphone audio is used only if you choose to enable sound and grant access. You can record silent videos without microphone permission.

The system photo picker gives ArtWindow the image you select. ArtWindow does not request permission to read your entire photo library. When you choose to save a result, it requests permission to add new media to Photos.

Local projects and creations

Working projects retain a copy of the selected image and its opening. Finished creations retain their photo and, when recorded, video. These files are stored in the app’s private storage on this iPhone and excluded from device backup.

You can delete projects and creations inside the app. Removing the app removes these local app files. Photos or videos already saved to Photos, Files, or another app remain there until you delete them from that destination. Save or share anything you want to keep before removing ArtWindow or changing phones.

First-use guide

ArtWindow remembers locally whether you completed or skipped its illustrated guide. You can replay the guide from the question-mark button on the home screen. This preference is not sent to the developer.

Purchases and the free video allowance

Studio Unlock uses Apple StoreKit for a one-time purchase and restoration. ArtWindow verifies purchase status locally. It does not receive your payment-card information.

A device-only Keychain ledger records the IDs of completed free video recordings so the three-video allowance can be counted reliably. It does not contain camera images, audio, or a personal profile, and it does not sync through iCloud. Keychain records may remain after app removal; deleting a creation does not reset the free allowance.

Apple processes commerce information under its own privacy practices. Apple may also process operating-system diagnostics or TestFlight information according to your settings and use of Apple services. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Sharing and external links

When you choose Share, the iOS share sheet lets you select another app or destination. The content you share is then handled by that destination under its own privacy practices. ArtWindow shares content only at your request.

Museum and license links open external websites only when you choose them. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

Your permissions

• Camera: used for the live composition and capture view. You can deny access or change it later in iOS Settings.
• Microphone: requested when you choose to include sound. Silent recording does not need it.
• Photos, add only: used when you choose to save a creation. You can review local creations and use the share sheet if saving is unavailable.

This website

The browser playground uses bundled artwork and an illustration. It does not access your camera or microphone, import personal images, or record video. Demo adjustments stay in the current page and reset when you reload.

This site does not add analytics, advertising trackers, or application cookies. Our hosting provider, Bluehost, processes technical information needed to serve the site, such as an IP address, browser request information, and server logs. Its handling is described in the Newfold Digital privacy notice. Links to Apple and museums take you to services with their own policies.

Support and privacy email

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send through our email service. We use that information to answer your request and troubleshoot the issue. Please avoid sending private photos, recordings, payment-card details, or other information that is not needed for support.

You can contact us to ask about a support message or request deletion of information you sent. Deletion from third-party providers is subject to their retention practices and applicable requirements.
