Privacy.
How the current Tally Tracker release candidate handles tally data, photos, purchases, website visits, and support email.
Effective October 26, 2026. Tally Tracker is an app by Alex Whedbee, with support operated by AW Ventures, LLC. This policy covers the app and these Tally Tracker web pages. The App Store release is pending.
Your tally library
The app stores tally names, counts, history timestamps and changes, optional notes, and style choices in local app storage. The app and its Home Screen widget use a shared on-device storage area to display your selected tally. The current release candidate does not require an app account and does not send this library to the developer.
Photos and permissions
If you choose a photo for a widget background, the system photo picker provides the selected image. The app creates cropped, resized copies for the widget and removes source location and camera metadata from those copies. It keeps the prepared copies on your device, excludes those photo files from app backup, and does not retain the original photo file or upload it to a developer server. It does not request access to your entire photo library. Counting does not require a photo. Replacing or removing a photo removes unused copies after the tally is saved; copies still referenced by a recovery snapshot remain with that snapshot.
Cloud sync and backups
Live iCloud tally sync is disabled in the current release candidate. App-level cross-device sync is unavailable and is not a Premium benefit in this release. Apple device backup and restore behavior is separate and depends on your device settings; local-only app behavior does not mean backups are disabled.
Purchases
Optional Premium purchases and restoration use Apple StoreKit. The app checks verified purchase entitlements and stores an on-device access preference for the widget. Apple handles payment information; the app does not receive your payment-card details. Purchase restoration restores eligible access, not your tally library.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The audited release candidate has no advertising or tracking SDK, developer-operated analytics service, or developer backend for tally data. Apple may process commerce or diagnostic information according to its services and your settings. See Apple’s privacy policy.
Managing local data
You can edit or delete tallies in the app. Local storage may retain deletion markers and recovery or legacy copies; deleting a visible tally is not a promise of erasing every local recovery copy. Deleting the app removes its private installation data; shared widget storage, offloading, and Apple backup or restore behavior can affect remaining or restored copies. Keep your own record of important counts before removing the app or changing devices. AW Ventures, LLC has no developer-hosted tally library to restore or erase.
This website and hosting
These app pages are hosted on Bluehost. They do not implement analytics, advertising trackers, forms, application cookies, or browser storage. Your browser requests the page and its local image and style files. Bluehost processes technical information associated with serving those requests, such as your IP address, browser request information, and server logs. Hosting is separate from data stored by the app on your device. See the Newfold Digital privacy notice for the provider’s practices.
Support and privacy email
If you email support@alexwhedbee.com or privacy@alexwhedbee.com, we receive your sender address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request and investigate the issue. Email delivery involves the email services used by you and the recipient. Please send only what is needed; do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information.
You can ask about a message you sent or request its deletion by emailing privacy@alexwhedbee.com. Provider-held copies and any applicable legal requirements can affect what can be removed. This policy does not set a fixed retention period for provider logs or support messages.
